4-Session Life Model Open Studio

Access to 4 uninstructed live figure model sessions held in Princeton Academy of Art’s facilities for a designated time slot under the supervision of an Academy representative.
In addition to working from the live model, participants may utilize selected Academy resources including anatomy books, a full resin skeleton, a resin skull and more.
The session monitor will outline which resources are available to participants each session.

Introduction to Human Anatomy: Figure Drawing

Join us for our August 2022 3-day human anatomy workshop! Anns will introduce students to analyzing significant structures of the human body and how they contribute to our understanding of the full figure.
Students will learn to view the body in a simplified yet strategic way to help them avoid including unnecessary details.
Sculpting the Portrait
with James Sondow

Working directly from life, students will be guided in proportion, weight, and expresstion from the early armature stages through to the application of clay
This workshop will focus on the anatomy of the human head, and will emphasize the importance of structural landmarks and architechtonic thinking in portraiture.
This is a great opportunity for artists of all disciplines to view the head
Required supplies will be available for purchase from the academy on the first day of the workshop. Please be sure to bring cash or your checkbook.
Armature: available for use & purchase on request
Water-based Clay: available for use & purchase on request
